Cropped Turtleneck Using Borgo’s Bulky

Our friends over at Borgo de Pazzi have been busy knitting away, and we are always so thrilled when they email us pictures of their finished products!

This latest finished project was knit using four skeins of Borgo de Pazzi’s Bulky, and we love it! It just looks so… COZY! And in this kind of climate- that is exactly what we need!

This sweater is stylish enough that it can be dressed up to be made ‘work appropriate’ (in this country, bulky sweaters are ABSOLUTELY ‘work appropriate’), or it could just as easily be worn with jeans or leggings for a cozy Sunday afternoon curled up on the couch by the fire.

The pattern used for this sweater is one by Leena Sullivan that was published in the Vogue Knitting Winter 2008/2009 issue. The original pattern calls for Cascade Magnum, but Borgo’s Bulky is such a great alternative!

Knit from cuff to cuff, the neck and waistband are picked up and knit once the cabled body is complete. The waistband has little bobbles incorporated along the edge, but should you not be a fan of knitting bobbles (we happen to know of QUITE a few knitters who aren’t), opting not to knit them should not be a big deal.
