The Chevron Colour-Block Blanket- Free Pattern Friday

If you live in the Montreal area, or even if you just live in Canada (and beyond, I’m sure!) you have more than likely come across the collection of gorgeous patterns offered by the fantastic yarn shop, Espace Tricot.

Not only are their patterns on trend, but they are classic, simple and always inspiring. And what’s more… their store is very much the same! Filled with all of the latest yarns, colours and knitting related products, you will be hard pressed to leave the store empty handed.

For today’s free pattern, we thought that we would feature one of Espace Tricot’s classics- The Chevron Colour-Block Blanket. Using twelve skeins of Cascade Eco Cloud, this beautiful blanket knits up quickly on a 7mm needle, giving you just enough time to whip one up before the weather really makes a turn for the worse.

And as with all knitting projects out there, don’t forget that you have options! If soft, neutral shades just aren’t your thing… then why not try knitting this blanket out of Cascade Cloud? It is essentially the same soft, beautiful yarn as the Eco Cloud– just more colourful! Available in a rich rainbow of shades, make an ombre style throw, or a rainbow stripe throw… The options are endless, and the design decisions are yours to make!
