This yarn is a classic- which is what makes it so fabulous! It is a yarn that simply everyone should have in their stash.

Available as a DK weight, in a blend that is comprised of 50% cotton and 50% acrylic, it is soft, easy to care for and incredibly versatile. The cotton keeps this yarn breathable and cool, perfect for Summer evenings or as a solution to that harsh air conditioning at the office. The acrylic component help keeps your garment light, and easy to care for. Great for babies, kids, Spring/ Summer garments, or for anyone with wool allergies/ issues. This yarn is a winner all around!

King Cole has also released a nice range of patterns, all suited to the Authentic DK. Having said that however, being that it is a DK weight, your pattern options are literally endless. There are so many great patterns suited to DK weight yarns- both on Ravelry, and through King Cole. To view more DK weight King Cole Patterns, click here.

Authentic Cotton Mix DK is packaged in 100 gram balls, with the impressive yardage of 242 metres per ball. Reasonably priced, this yarn really is great value.

So give your local yarn shop a call, and see if they have any of this yarn available for you to try out! Spring will be here before we know it (no matter HOW hard that is to believe), so now is the time to get cracking on some Spring wardrobe staples.

Happy knitting (and wardrobe planning) everyone!
