It feels like we are about ready for some outside inspiration. So where did we turn to? Why Ravelry, of course!
So as to not make the crocheters in the crowd feel as though we always leave them for last, why not start this post with an absolutely glorious crocheted project.
So, shall we?
First off, a flower cushion! And doesn’t it just make you beam from ear to ear? The yarn used was our very own Estelle Cloud Cotton, in a fabulous selection of rainbow shades. Fresh and poppy, the perfect addition to any cozy couch- especially as the days get shorter, and the nights get longer! We most certainly need all the colour we can get…
Next up, we have Leigh’s stunning mittens knit out of Estelle Eco Andean DK– a new yarn for us this Fall! The pattern that Leigh has used is a modified version of the charts found in Annemor #13 by Terri Shea. Leigh is hosting a read along/KAL on her blog with a Beowulf/Southern Scandinavian/Anglo-saxon theme. It looks like it’s not too late to join in! Check out her blog for more details. (Make sure to check out her blog even if you aren’t interested in the KAL… it is so inspiring!)
Last, but certainly not least, we have this sweet little pair of baby booties by Kathleen, knit out of Estelle Woodrow. She knit a teensy jacket first, and then used her leftovers to make some booties to complete the outfit. She had to shorten the length of the legs on the booties due to yarn shortage, but the good news is that this means she used up every last inch of yardage!
Waste not… want not
Thank you to all of the kind knitters who allowed us to feature their projects. It is so very much appreciated.
Happy knitting everyone!
