Fur PomPoms- EVERYWHERE!

Fur pompoms are, without a doubt, all the rage. Everywhere you turn, there seems to be another version of a knitted hat with a little fur pouf perched up top. And why not? They’re charming, classic, and add a touch of luxury to our winter gear- that same winter gear that we have usually grown rather weary of piling on come mid-February.

While we may remain weary regardless of whether or not we have a fur pompom on our hat, this trend is one that will certainly leave us smiling, each and every time we catch a glimpse of our reflection in a frosty window pane.

And the good news is that these furry delights are now widely available across the country both in the ready-to-wear world, and now finally, the DIY world.

Rico Yarns has recently released some absolutely gorgeous faux fur pompoms in a great range of colours, perfect as a finishing touch for any hand knit hat, or even great at either end of a hand knit scarf!

Whether the knits are cabled, fair isle, chunky or fine,  a fur pompom on a hand knit accessory is like a cherry on a homemade cake. It makes something that’s already amazing, simply out of this world.

And even better? While they may look real, they remain 100% cruelty free! No animals were harmed in the creation of these fur pompoms!

So, what are you waiting for? Call your local yarn shop, and see if they have any in stock.

Happy accessorizing!
